Paxil CR (Paroxetine HCl) is a prescription medication used to treat depression including major depressive disorder. It is also used to treat panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). This medication can help improve your mood, sleep, appetite, energy level and may help restore your interest in daily living. Paxil CR may also decrease premenstrual symptoms such as irritability, increased appetite, and depression. Paroxetine belongs to a class of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It works by helping to restore the balance of serotonin in the brain.

We currently offer the brand Paxil CR from Canada by GSK. The generic Paroxetine HCI comes from India also called Pari CR by Ipca Laboratories and Pexep CR by Intas.
Seek emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction to this medication. The common side effects of Paxil CR may include abnormal ejaculation, anxiety, constipation, diarrhea, decreased sex drive, difficulty having an orgasm, dizziness or drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, infection, loss of appetite, nausea, sleep problems, sweating, tiredness, vision changes, vomiting, weakness, and yawning.
Contact your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur:
• Changes in appetite or weight;
• Changes in vision, blurred or tunnel vision, seeing halos around lights;
• Eye pain, swelling;
• Racing thoughts, decreased need for sleep;
• Severe nervous system reaction;
• Symptoms of low sodium levels;
• Unusual bleeding, easy bruising, coughing up blood;
• Unusual bone pain or tenderness, swelling or bruising;
• Unusual risk-taking behavior, feelings of extreme happiness or sadness, being more talkative than usual

You should not use Paxil CR if you are allergic to Paroxetine or if you are also taking pimozide or thioridazine. Do not use an MAO inhibitor within 14 days before or 14 days after. Prior to taking this medication, tell your doctors about your medical history and if you have ever had:
• A bleeding or blood clotting disorder;
• Bipolar disorder, or suicidal thoughts;
• Drug addiction;
• Heart disease, or a stroke;
• High blood pressure, or a stroke;
• Liver or kidney disease;
• Low levels of sodium in your blood;
• Narrow-angle glaucoma;
• Seizures or epilepsy;
• Sexual problems
This medication may impair your reactions. Avoid driving or hazardous activity until you know how this medication will affect you. Tell your doctor about all the medications you take including prescription, nonprescription, herbal products, and vitamins. There may be a drug interaction between Paxil CR and other medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant. Do not breastfeed while using this medication. Paxil CR is should not be used by anyone younger than 18 years old.
