Common side effects include:

Serious side effects include:
• Mental/mood changes;
• Seizures;
• Signs of another infection (fever, sore throat);

You should not use this medication if you are allergic to Metronidazole or to other nitroimidazole antibiotics or if you have any other allergies. This drug may make you dizzy. Do not do any activity that requires you to be alert. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless it is needed. Metronidazole passes into breast milk.
