Merrem (Meropenem) is a prescription medication that is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections such as appendicitis and peritonitis, bacterial meningitis and skin infections. This medication is known as a carbapenem-type antibiotic. This medication works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Merrem is given intravenously as directed by your doctor, usually every 8 hours.
