Mavyret (Glecaprevir/Pibrentasvir) is a prescription combination medication that is used to treat chronic hepatitis C, which is a viral infection of the liver. It works by decreasing the amount of HCV in the body. Pibrestasvir belongs to a class of medications called HCV NS5A inhibitors. They work by stopping the virus that causes hepatitis C from spreading inside the body. The combination of Glecaprevir and Pibrentasvir work by reducing the amount of hepatitis C virus in the body, which helps your immune system fight the infection and may help your liver recover.
