Iyuzeh (Latanoprost) is a prescription medication used to reduce pressure in the eye in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Open-angle glaucoma is a chronic eye condition resulting from fluid buildup due to poor drainage. This pressure buildup damages the optic nerve, leading to vision loss and blindness. Ocular hypertension is when the pressure inside the eye is higher than usual. It results from a buildup of fluid in the eye, which can be due to several factors, including infections, injuries, or allergies. Ocular hypertension doesn't usually cause symptoms, but it can be an early sign of glaucoma. The active ingredient in Iyuzeh is Latanoprost. Latanoprost belongs to a class of medications called prostaglandin analogs. It works by helping the fluid in the eye drain out, decreasing eye pressure.

Latanoprost passes into breast milk in trace amounts and is not expected to harm a nursing infant. Use this medicine exactly as your doctor prescribes. Iyuzeh is a single-dose eye drop used only in the eyes. Please do not take it by mouth. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before using the medicine. Gently tear open the foil pouch to remove a single-dose container. Tilt your head back. Pull down your lower eyelid to form a pouch. Invert the container and gently squeeze to release one drop into the pouch. Gently close your eye for 1-2 minutes. Press on the inner corner of your eye (near your nose) for 1 minute to prevent the medication from draining into your tear duct. Each single-dose container is for one use only. Discard the used container immediately after use. Use Iyuzeh once daily in the evening. Avoid touching the tip of the container to your eye or any other surface to reduce the risk of an infection. If you use other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between using Iyuzeh and other eye drops. Remove contact lenses before using Iyuzeh. You can reinsert them 15 minutes after administering the drops. Store the unopened drug at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
