Iopidine (Apraclonidine Hydrochloride) is a prescription ophthalmic solution is used along with other medications to lower raised pressure within your eyes for a short time to help delay or prevent the need for eye surgery. Apraclonidine Hydrochloride belongs to the class of medications known as alpha-adrenergic agonists. This medication works by lowering the pressure in the eye by decreasing the amount of fluid produced within the eye. You may help to prevent decreased vision or blindness by decreasing high pressure inside the eye.
