Imunovir (Inosine pranobex) is a prescription medication that is used to treat viral infections such as genital herpes, genital warts or certain viral infections of the brain. Inosine pranobex is a combination of inosine (acetamidobenzoic acid) and dimethylaminoisopropanol used as an antiviral drug. This medication works by slowing the growth and spread of the virus in the body. Imunovir 500 mg tablets are used in combination with other treatment such as podophyllin or carbon dioxide laser to treat genital warts.

Our Canadian Pharmacy carries the brand Imunovir from United Kingdom and Canada by Kora Healthcare. There is no generic available for this medication. Imunovir is only available in the strength of 500 mg tablets.
The only common side effects are increased uric acid levels in the blood and urine which can cause gout and kidney stones. The level of uric acid in the blood returns to normal after the treatment is finished.
The less common side effects of Imunovir may include:
• Abdominal discomfort;
• Feeling or being sick;
• Headaches;
• Pain in the joints;
• Skin reactions such as itching and rash;
• Spinning sensation;
• Tiredness
