Evalon Cream (Estriol) is used to treat vaginal atrophy after menopause, vaginal problems occurring due to less oestrogen, and before or after surgery to help heal wounds. Estriol belongs to the group of medicines called hormone replacement therapy. This medication works by replacing the oestrogen which is usually produced by the ovaries. This helps provide relief from discomfort in the vagina and vaginal infections. It also helps normalize vaginal epithelium, which makes sexual intercourse less painful and prevents vaginal infections.
