Differin (Adapalene) is a prescription required topical medication that is similar to Vitamin A. It is used to treat severe acne in people who are over the age of 12 years old. This medication helps the skin to renew itself. Adapalene belongs to a class of medications called retinoids. It works by affecting the growth of cells and decreasing swelling and inflammation. Differin may decrease the number and severity of acne pimples and promote quick healing of pimples that develops. It reduces the number of acne-blocked oil glands and prevents the formation of the plugs. Apply a thin layer of Differin once a day before bedtime after washing the area with a gentle cleanser and dry it gently with a towel. You may see an improvement in acne in about 4 to 8 weeks.

The brand Differin gel comes from Canada and United Kingdom manufactured by Galderma. Our Canadian Pharmacy also carries the brand Differin 0.1% gel from Turkey, which is available OTC (No prescription required). The Differin cream and XP gel is also available from Canada by Galderma. The Differin cream and gel is available in the strength of 0.1% and the Differin XP Gel comes in the strength of 0.3% gel.

Remove any makeup before applying Differin.
