Download and open the G7 app on a compatible smart device. You may also use the G7 receiver as your display device instead of downloading the app, or you can choose to use both devices. Follow the onscreen instructions provided on your selected display device to insert your sensor. After a 30-minute warmup period, your G7 system will be ready for use. The Dexcom G7 system provides glucose readings every 5 minutes and sends this data to the G7 app and/or G7 receiver via Bluetooth. The device has color indicators and trend arrows for each glucose reading.
