Budesonide Aq Nasal Spray (Budesonide) is a prescription medication used to treat and prevent seasonal and year-round allergies. Allergies are present with symptoms like sneezing, stuffy or runny nose, and itchy eyes, nose, or throat. The drug is also used to treat nasal polyps. Budesonide Aq nasal spray prevents new polyps from appearing and prevents recurrences of nasal polyps after surgery to remove polyps. The active ingredient in Budesonide Aq Nasal Spray is Budesonide. Budesonide belongs to a class of drugs called corticosteroids. It works by reducing inflammation in the nasal passages. This drug is only used to relieve symptoms of allergies. It should not be used to treat symptoms caused by the common cold.

• Dryness or burning in the nose;
• Nausea;
• Nosebleeds;
• Tiredness

• Chest tightening;
• Difficulty breathing or swallowing;
• Signs of an allergic reaction like skin rash, wheezing, swelling of the lips, face, or throat;
• Wheezing

There may be drug interactions between Budesonide Aq Nasal Spray and other medicines, such as cobicistat, clarithromycin, mifepristone, ritonavir, other corticosteroids, etc. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is unknown if Budesonide will harm an unborn baby. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this drug in pregnancy with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Budesonide Aq Nasal Spray passes into breast milk, and it may affect a nursing infant. Use Budesonide precisely as prescribed by your doctor. The drug is for nasal use only. Spray the recommended dose into each nostril. You may not experience the full effects of this medicine until after 2 weeks of treatment. Clear your nasal passage by gently blowing your nose before using the spray. Store this medication at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

How long does it take Budesonide Aq nasal spray to work?
Your symptoms may start to improve one to two days after you first start using budesonide but it may take up to two weeks before you feel the full benefit of the medication.
