The generic Donepezil Tablet is manufactured by Teva known as Teva-Donepezil in Canada. It also may comes from UK. This medication is available in the strength of 5mg and 10mg and 23mg tablets.
Common side effects may include:
• Diarrhea;
• Loss of appetite;
• Drowsiness or dizziness;
• Nausea;
• Trouble sleeping;
• Unusual tiredness or weakness;
• Vomiting
Serious side effects include:
• Fainting;
• Irregular heartbeat;
• Seizures;
• Stomach/abdominal pain;
• Trouble urinating;
• Vomit that looks like coffee grounds
You should not take this medication if you are allergic to Donepezil or any ingredients of the medication. Before you start taking this medication, talk to your doctor about your medical history and about all the medications you are currently taking including OTC and herbal medications. This drug may make you dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive or do any activity that requires alertness. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. There may be an interaction between Donepezil and other medications such as carbamazepine, dexamethasone, ketoconazole, quinidine, rifampin, etc. Take this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it.
